1. Targetted PDS:
The targeted PDS was launched in June,
1997 by the Govt. Total target under the scheme was 93,876 nos during 2001-02
for undivided Kamrup district at that time. Out of which 93,852 nos. of
beneficiaries could be covered during the year. 24 nos. of beneficiaries could
not be covered, as these were found underserving. During the year 2002-03 also
same nos. of beneficiaries were covered.
2. AAY:
This Scheme was launched in November
2001. The total fund involved during 2001-02 was 5.83 lakhs. Out of which an
amount of Rs. 3.57 lakhs could be disbursed. The amount
disbursed were actually meant for reimbursement cost of transportation
charges of AAY commodities. The physical target under the scheme was 15,425
nos. out of which 15,362 nos. of beneficiaries could be covered. The remaining
63 nos. of beneficiaries were found underserving
The AAY was also continued for the
years 2002-03 and 2003-04.

This scheme was also launched in Nov.2001.
Total target under the scheme was 1477 nos. for undivided Kamrup district
during 2001-02 out of whch, 1384 nos. beneficiaries could be covered.

able to take connections. There is shortage of regulators and Gas Cylinders
with the IOC. Moreover, many selected benefiaciaries are incapable of

1. REPORT REGARDING TPDS ITEMS:
A) BPL RICE
Nos. of beneficiaries were = 80,498 during June'2005 for Kamrup district.
Allotment of such rice made = 28,174.30 qtls. Do
Lifting of such rice = 24,110.95 qtls. Do
Lapsed during the month = 1972.10 qtls. Do
The quantum of distribution of BPL
rice for the month of June'2005 was @ 35 kgs. per family.
B. AAY RICE
Nos. of beneficiaries were = 12,093 during June'2005 for Kamrup district
Allotment of such rice made = 4235.55 qtls. Do
Lifting of such rice = 6251.70 qtls. Do
Lapsed during the month = Nil Do
The quantum of distribution of AAY
rice for the month
June'2005 was @ 35 kgs.
per family.
2. REPORT REGARDING PDS ITEMS:
A) 770 MT. Of S.K. Oil were allotted
during the month of June'2005. Out of which 746 MT lifted by allotted
sub-wholesale depots. Accordingly 24
B) 652 MT of levy sugar allotted during
the month of June'2005. But nothing was lifted
by allottee GPSS in view of non availability of stock of sugar at FCI level during the month.
C) APL rice was allotted to the extent of
13,600.00 qtls. During the month of June'2005 against which 140 qtls. Were lifted by
allotee GPSS. Accordingly 13460.00 qtls. Of such rice were lapsed.
D) 110 MT APL wheat were allotted to 4
(four) Modern Chakki mills during the month
of June'2005. Out of the same 3 (three) mills lifted their monthly quota to the
tune of 82.50 MT. The proprietor
of one mill expressed their liability to lift the monthly quota of APL wheat due to his illness. Accordingly
27.50 MT APL wheat lapsed the
month.
